The Hunger Games - Book

Around two months ago, first time I watched The Hunger Games movie.. awalnya karena penasaran sih, banyak orang bilang film itu keren banget.. and I was wondering, what kind of games that Hunger Games, so people very interested about that movie, that book.. and the books, it's trilogy - The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay..

And after watching the movie, I found myself enchanted by that.. latar belakang cerita yang cukup dark, friendship here, killing people there, with a little star-cross-lover kind.. overall, aku suka banget sama movie-nya, story-nya mudah dimengerti even buat orang-orang yang belum baca bukunya.. kadar love story-nya pas buat bikin greget dan terharu, tanpa ngurangin kesan dark dari film itu..

And then, I started to read the book.. and it enchanted me more and more.. it's been a long time before, aku nemuin satu buah buku yang berhasil bikin aku terjaga semaleman hanya karena nggak sanggup buat nutup buku dan menunda mengetahui cerita selanjutnya seperti apa.. malam-malam panjang dimana aku bergadang, tenggelam dalam sebuah permainan named 'The Hunger Games', tenggelam dalam perjuangan Katniss Everdeen untuk tetap bertahan hidup, dan tenggelam dalam kisah cinta rumit antara Katniss dan Peeta.. although I thought the love-stories in book were a little too much.. I prefer the portion in the movie.. reading Katniss-Peeta love-stories in the book was like watching the 3rd movie of Harry Potter when too many romance acts between Ron and Hermione.. too much it almost killed the excited feeling for adventure, for sure..

But then, 5 stars (of 5) I gave to The Hunger Games book.. karena sudah berhasil membawa aku ke satu dunia baru penuh petualangan, satu dunia yang cuma bisa kita alamin dari membaca buku.. :)
