bright night

I’m staring at the bright moon, 

thinking ‘are you somewhere out there, 

staring the same bright light like me? 

or maybe you’re on the other side of earth, 

busy with your life while wondering the same thing.’

I’m staring at a major blink in the sky, 

and suddenly ask ‘who are you?’. 

I don’t know, I guess I’m chasing the wrong light, 

it blinked so bright at first but slowly disappear. 

well, maybe that’s all my mistake, 

falling to an asteroid – so free-moving object.

and then I’m staring at the whole night sky, 

filled with stars. 

wondering if one of them is mine.
